With a specific market focus to give you an overview of the opportunities available and to address any key issues in the market, the lunch on September 20th will take place at the Hard Days Night Hotel (L2 6RR) and will focus on trading with the Americas.

In 2011, the USA was the largest single export market for goods and services from the UK, accounting for £31.7bn of trade. Key sectors include advanced engineering, clean technology, creative, ICT and life sciences, all of which offer huge opportunities for companies in the region.

Growth in GDP across Latin America continued in 2010, with Brazil showing a 7.5% growth and other markets such as Mexico and Argentina growing by over 5%. While growth is slowing in the region, in countries such Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Bolivia growth remains strong and there are opportunities across Latin America for infrastructure, human resources and engineering projects.
